Because I need a distraction today.

I have to say, I really liked it when it was super-short. It gave you a very funky, stylish appearence. The length in the current pic is cute, but when it was shorter, I was wowed.

I need to update my icon, too. It's about that length still but a little neater, since I got it trimmed. Less poodle :)

I like the look in this photo, too. Any longer and curly would be too much hair in my eyes...but longer and less curly would also work. I have no idea how your hair behaves at length, though.

See, I met you when it was really short, and I was totally wowed, so while i checked the two shortest options on the poll, I really REALLY like the shortest best.

I think going different could be fun, play with colors play with cuts! I tend to lean toward longer hair, and I think it complements your facial structure well, not everyone can pull off long hair. As long as I have known you (which is relatively short compared to others) I have gotten to witness the very long and the very short, and I think playing with a medium legnth and layers could be high on the spiff list.

Personally, I pretty much always think longer hair looks better...which may mean you should discount my opinion, just as you would ignore a hamburger fanatic who told you such-and-such a hamburger place was a great restaurant. :-)

What do YOU like?

I always feel best when I think I look like me. What do you think makes you look like you?

That said -- anything that is grown can always be cut (long hair can become short hair) in a timely manner, anything that's short can eventually grow out (but that takes longer).

Color -- I've NEVER colored my hair -- been blessed with a color I like that doesn't seem to be showing as many gray hairs as I feel I have, but I have heard (don't know how true it is) that once you start coloring you sort of need to keep after it, so if you use an over the counter product you need to use it regularly and if you go to the salon you need to go on a regular ba$i$.

I always liked your hair long. But perhaps I'm a touch biased. My hair dresser has been after me for years to cut mine shorter, and *I* wish it were down to the floor...

My answer would be "as pleases thee". The color, size, and shape, of your hair aren't even in the top ten things of what I care about you.

Oh what he said, and he said with much more pizzaz that I could. :-)

Well, yeah. Plus the assumption that my taste isn't worth consulting.

I think it looks adorable as it is in your icon! But then again, it also reminds me of my best friend from college, so I guess I'm biased that way. :)

I'm a sucker for natural beauty like yours.

I was thinking about this as I was driving home, and while the first answer is basically an echo of Vis and ArtisticPhoenix, I realized that you have a youthful face, which the grey almost overrides; you barely look older than I remember you when first meeting you. If you wanted to give a younger impression, coloring it to non-grey would accomplish that easily, since your face is younger than the grey. (Did that make sense?)

things I like, since you're askng...

I love that you smile more. I admit that I really loved the long-layers-red-highlights wig, it looked so darn good on you it made me go home and look in the mirror rather critically. I ended up doing what was possible, given work: had the nape shaved and dyed electric green. Hard to keep up, though, sigh. But most of all, it's cool that you have so many options!!!

I subscribe to the rule that women's hair should be as long as possible, just on general principles. But now and again, shorter hair turns out to be reeely cute, and (albeit your original length was awesome) you're one of those exceptions, I think. I like it the way it is.
