That's twice this week people have spontaneously commented on my new, lower, weight. Go me! Mostly I can't see it myself in the mirror - and I haven't gone out and replaced the wardrobe yet. But I'm doing OK.
Did you lose your appetite during your cancer treatment? Currently, I have none at all, and sort of have to remember to put some calories in my body. Right now, I'm pretty sure that's significantly less than what I'm actually burning.
Yes. I didn't have nausea (they have excellent drugs for that nowadays) but I had very little desire to eat. Just the imaginary mouth feel of food was a turn-off.
So I went ahead and took advantage of that trend and lost another 6 lbs after my treatment ended.
Well, my appetite came back after I finished my treatments, so it has become hard work to have just half a hot dog, a handful of chips, and a sliver of birthday cake (when I'd really like some cookies, more chips, a whopping hunk of cake, and then go home and have dinner). It feels like my blood sugars are under better control - I'll be getting them retested in a few weeks - which would be a Very Good Thing.
