Who's surprised?

With the storm still nearly 12 hours out, they've already begun to lower the estimated accumulation figures. Looks like there might not be a snowday tomorrow.

National weather is still maintaining the same warnings. I am hoping they are correct.

Philly is looking a bit uncertain, at the moment. When I went out just now to shovel the sidewalk (third time today), I found a thin layer of ice underneath. Which I salted, of course.

Tomorrow...ehhhh...we shall *see*. :P

It's 5-15 still for my area, which is not much different from the early morning forecast. I don't know what the live sources are reporting; they may be more fickle.

And here over at 5am, it's still pretty much the same, just shifted a few hours in the day. Looks like we've got 1/2" on the ground now, sleetish.

Stay warm!

still calling for 12-18 inches for me, with winds and blizzard conditions.

I disbelieve.

Let me make my "Snow Day Check."

Dang it. I hate when they raise your hopes like that, only to dash them with actual facts! I think I am still enough of a kid to adore the idea of regular life suddenly grinding to a halt due to weather, the uncontrollable force. Alas, the one thing we do not get to have here in our little slice of heaven is snow days. If you get one, please toss a snow ball for me!
