I was tidying a box of old convention-related memorabilia tonight, and found a very early Darkover con flyer, sent to judcoeur at his college PO box, by one memorman. It's a small archipelago.
Yay! Somebody else has read these. I LOVE the Darkover books. I started reading them about 10 years ago and usually people just look at me blankly when I mention them :)
I'm skeptical about the ones that were finished after Marion Zimmer Bradley died, but I haven't gotten to those yet. I'm still scouring used bookstores for the older ones I haven't read yet (I really lucked out a couple weeks ago and found 3 I'd been looking for for years).
You do know about Darkovercon, right? If not, you may want to check it out -- it's one of the better and more relaxing science fiction conventions around. It's Thanksgiving Weekend every year, down in MD. We haven't been in quite some time, but we used to typically do Thanksgiving with the relatives, and then head for MD for the rest of the weekend...
We're even going to be in MD the entire Thanksgiving weekend, but we already have plans with relatives. Perhaps it can be worked into next year's plans though :)
