Bad hair day

The trouble with shorter hair is the increased potential for bad hair days. When it's really really long, I just brush it out, its weight holds it down, and if it's unruly I stick it in a ponytail. At shoulder length, it exhibits its full capability to curl in funky directions and look like it was cut with kitchen shears. I really should have washed it and put a little gel or something in, this morning.

All of the above, and I'm a fan of putting just the hair that would fall into my face (when I had said hair) into back in a barette. That might look really great on you with your curls.

Look! Me with hair!

I thought of another thing I loved doing with my hair when it was long. You need a big barette, then just twist your hair up into a litte 'updo' and use the barette to keep it up. I don't have any pictures of me with my hair like that though. I also loved doing that and ponytails because when I was working, I could slide my pencil into my hair and it would stick there. The downside being that I would forget the pencil was there and go out in public with it sticking out of my hair... *grin*

Classic editor look! I haven't (so far) ever gone out with my red pencil parked in my hair, but yeah, I will fasten up all the hair into some kind of twist with a big barette or a toothy clasp, to get it out of my way. I have *lots* of barettes, scattered all over the house like pens: there's usually one within reach.
