Why travel? To broaden my horizons, my mind. To see things in person I've only seen in pictures. To meet new people, to expand my knowledge of culture. To make change.
That said, I would be angry about not being able to bring water on board. Right now, it sounds as if once you're past security at Heathrow, you can purchase things to bring on board with you unless you're flying to the US: in that case, no liquids of any sort: water, perfume, toothpaste, etc. *sigh*
I do want these draconian measures, which really don't do much of anything to keep us safe, lifted very, very soon. Of course, I resent having to take off my shoes in US airports -- as if that really does anything to make us safe. :(
