Dinner suggestions

It's that time of year again! My birthday and our wedding anniversary* both fall in the first half of July, and therefore we go out to "fancy" dinner twice. We have some favorite restaurants we return to again and again: Blue Ginger, the Blue Room, J's Restaurant at Nashoba Winery.

But knowing we have foodie friends, what restaurants are we missing out on? Please make recommendations.

*19 years, can you believe it?

Heard of This?

I highly recommend the Herb Lyceum in Groton. It's only open on Fridays and Saturdays at the herb farm where many of the ingredients are grown, the menu is fixed, and the chef is the (no longer teenage) son of the family (featured on NPR,) who turned an enjoyment of cooking into a renowned career even before he finished High School. Here's a link: http://www.gilsonslyceum.com/herbal_dining.html It's a wonderful dining experience, around a large table en famile, and the chef comes out and discusses each dish as it's being served. I plan to go again when next I have visitors from out of town.
