Symmetry

We are getting just under $300 back from the Feds. We owe just over $300 to the State. It's lovely when it works gracefully like that.

Final numbers - $645 refund Feds, $264 refund from the State. Whoa...

We're getting a whopping refund from the Feds, which is probably due to job-switch oddities, too much withheld, etc.

We don't like loaning money to them that we don't have to, but, well, couldn't do much about it.

That's the kind of balance we always aim for too :)

I always find it a peculiar accomplishment that year after year, we manage to have to pay the government a lot on April 15. It is one of the oddest bits of "good planning" that I do.

One year I got an $18 refund back from the State of Minnesota. Perfect!

$3155 from the Feds, $110 from Upper Saucon Township and we had to pay PA $33. Can't figure out how we keep owing PA taxes since it is a flat tax!
