Doomed?

What is it with the Hudson Valley?
I think I have only been to one event in Concordia, ever, the EKU where I taught the award and precedence system. The next time I was supposed to go to Concordia, for Twelfth Night (when I was to receive my Pelican), we had a foot of snow, and I cancelled.

Hrim Schola isn't in Concordia, it's in Frosted Hills, but I'm watching the ascending predictions for stormy weather and wondering if it would be stupid to go. I have some contempt for weather wimps, and don't want to be one - but I also have no need to crash my car (or spend a dozen hours driving) trying to get there when there will be other competent people... But I do have 4WD...

Oh indecision!

Snow??? In March?

Crossing into the 80s here today.

Not that I'm teasing you about it or anything. ;)

What is it with the Hudson Valley?

They have a whole School dedicated to the Hudson River Valley :-)

My classical radio station claimed that it will be light accumulation, so I'm thinking of braving it unless things look really bad Saturday morning.

Well, if you do go, drive carefully!

Seems to me that Long Island is due for another 3-4", but that hasn't stopped anyone from driving like a nut. Eastern CT and Eastern LI are supposed to be socked (Oh joy! I'll be heading right into it tomorrow night) with up to 6" I think.
IF that's accurate.

But really, if you're going to go, steel your wits, and ready the car.
*Channeling Freya* Drive safe, BE safe... *hugs and skritches* :) :) :)

They just got a foot last weekend, and it looks like they'll have another six inches this weekend. Not a good place to be.

I hope you went with your plans of getting a hotel room for Saturday night... Yikes!
