The biggest thing based there is a KC-135 (AKA A 707) that is owned by the airforce. Its used for reasearch work of some form. There are a number of commuter prop-jets that fly in and out for shuttle america as well.
In addition you get the charters, corprate jets and private aircraft as well. And 2 flight schools.
The odd thing is that large planes fly over our house *only* on cloudy days. We pretty much never see a plane overhead, but when it's cloudy, we hear big roaring engines fairly frequently. I often joke about them flying spy planes out of Hanscom when no one can see them...
