18. Alanna: The First Adventure, by Tamora Pierce. First of the "Song of the Lioness" quartet about a girl who wants to be a knight.

A reasonably good series, though alanna annoyed me at times, the other characters were great. It is one of [livejournal.com profile] shprintzah's favorites and she gave me the box set for X-mas so if you need to borrow the others while you are recovering you are more than welcome to mine.

I would be glad to borrow books 2 and 4 (somehow I ended up with just #1 and 3). If you were at dance practice this week and could send them home with Justin, that would be great!
