Miles for miles

Anybody have an audiobook version of Warrior's Apprentice or The Vor Game that they'd lend us for the drive to Coronation? I have yet to get [livejournal.com profile] jducoeur to read any Vorkosigan, and figured this would be a golden opportunity to feed it to him gently, but naturally I haven't been able to find the recordings locally (except Brothers In Arms).

[livejournal.com profile] kestrell has a bunch of them on audio cassette, and would probably be willing to loan. I think she has one or two on MP3-CD also.

Hmm, I just misread that as "Miles for Niles".

Obsessed? Me?

The Mountains of Mourning

I think "The Mountains of Mourning" is a great introduction--and it's available free online, at the
Baen Free Library. It was the first Vorkosigan story I read, when it was printed in Analog in 1990 or so; it doesn't depend on knowing the background, and it's short enough that Mark might be more willing to pick it up; but it's really compelling. Print it out; it'll get him hooked.
