Peer trick fail

Usually, I have a fairly unnatural ability to recall people from the Order of Precedence, but that trick failed me on Saturday when I didn't recognize that the tourney winner was SIR Douglas Henry, not Lord. I hope he will not remember I called him by the wrong title.

A Lesson I learned from Vicount Edward. Anyone who has ever received an award of arms may be referred to as Lord or lady regardless of whatever awards they are then bestowed.

This from the man who can be referred to as Lord, Baron, Baron-Baron, Baron-Baron-Baron, The Honorable Lord, Vicount, Master, Master-Master, Sir-Master, Sir-Master-Master, Eddie, and "hey you with the white belt."

Yes, those are all acceptable answers to Sir Edward's Barleycorn test.

I heard the error but I still think you are glorious for the other 99.9999% of stuff you do awesome.

I guess it must have been something in the air.

At one point during the day, I introduced myself as "Lady Kayleigh McWhyte". In front of fellow peers.

Whoops.
(Yes I corrected myself, but I'd even had coffee. Don't know what happened.)

BTW didn't get a chance to tell you Kayleigh how much I loved your circlet.
