Miscellaneous:
The new dress fits.
We'll be getting a nice chunk back from Uncle Sam. (Of course, we owe the state, everybody always owes the state.)
It would be nice if I.T. had given me editorial privileges on the Sharepoint site before asking me to make some changes to it....
This year I'm getting a root canal at a time of my own choosing instead of after the tooth goes blooey on a holiday weekend. Ahem.
Frugal Fannie's postcard has thrown temptation in my way again: this week's specials include Chico's overstocks and prom gowns.
Looks like I may have to reune with my college chums at their homes this summer, since they probably won't be at Reunion.

Heyyy... where is there still a Frugal Fannies?

They retreated to just their original store, in Westwood, behind the McDonalds on Route 1.

Oho - this is good to know! Thank you!

Oddly, I owe the feds but will get more money back from MA (partly because I also pay taxes in MO this year, and MA discounts this.)

Same here, but without owing money to another jurisdiction.

I paid a whopping $58 to MO, because I only worked for one week there. That discount did not save me much on the MA taxes, but meant that my MA refund was much more than what I had to pay the feds.

Having figured out that I always owed the State taxes, when I filled out my with-holding forms at my new job, I had them pull extra out for the State stuff. I got tired of paying penalties.

So now I get refunds from both. I'm OK with paying the State a little extra all year long, it means my potholes get filled. :)
