Highly random

I now feel like I have a bad cold. This is an enormous improvement over feeling dopey, headachy, and with chills and sweats.

Grrr to my employer, who has decided that it's too expensive to have paper recycling any more, because we have to pay for pickup. (They make so much of their highfalutin morals, except if the morals cost money.)

Grrr also to my friend S., whose Amazon wishlist consists entirely of "item not available."

I'm being terribly clever and just throwing Amazon at most of my Christmas shopping (see: I've got the flu and am housebound). Except for S., above, who wants some book by George R R Martin except it's not on her wishlist. It would be fun to go around to a number of little consignment artsy shoppies and buy handicrafts for my friends, which is what I did last year, but it ain't happening while I have the flu, and I really would rather not spend the last 3 evenings before Christmas doing nothing but gift shopping.

Bummer on the cold, but I'm glad you're feeling better.

Trust what the cats tell you. They know that what you need is lots of sleep. And cuddles with cats. And feeding cats, before you go back to sleep. Keep that up till they tell you otherwise, and you'll do lots better. See how easy?

And I hope we'll all see you sometime after you feel better! (My humans say that RotK followed immediately by sushi is a good thing to look forward to.)
Your friend,
Dawn
