The virtues of speaking up
Feb. 3rd, 2009 10:40 amSo I reiterated in
baronernst's LJ yesterday that I am looking for more chances to work on my court heraldry skills. Lo, at baronial council last night
jdulac had brought the Burdened Tyger scrolls* for
elizabear and
dsrtao. DSR couldn't really read his own scroll, so I got to read it. Cold. (ack! and oops!) I only flubbed a little bit, confused by
lisagw's hand.
It was an unexpected pleasure to get to read their scrolls. But boy-howdy do I need more work on that skill. I breathed in some poorly chosen places, and wish I'd gotten to preview the text (which of course I would have, in a real court).
*Siamese twin scrolls - both in the same style and on the same sheet of paper, but separate and individualized texts for them.
