I saw the Medicine Man, my orthopedist, today, and he is extremely pleased (one might say surprised) with my rapid progress. He has let me out of the big foam sling with the torso strap, and given me a lightweight mesh thing that I can don myself. I need to wear the new sling whenever I'm out of the house, for work or play, for another three weeks, then do some rehab type exercises to re-tone the arm muscles. Still no heavy lifting, no elbow above shoulder height, and no lying on that arm, of course.

I showed off the "itty bitty sling" all over the place at the NEHO offices as well -- showing it to everyone who's had the dubious joy of helping me in and out of the big ole original one.

Yay for constitution of ox. :)
