Pseudo vacation
Aug. 13th, 2006 09:18 amYesterday the weather was Absolutely Perfect. So after idling away the morning, and pulling up the weeds between the patio pavers, we discovered an entirely unoccupied, unscheduled afternoon. After contemplating several ways to take advantage of [Sales] Tax Free Weekend, none of which really caught our fancy, we were stumped.
"So then," I said. "I challenge you to a game of miniature golf!" Off we went to Kimball Farm, where the parking was crowded and the lines were dreadful, but nobody really minded because the weather was still Absolutely Perfect and it's August and even the earliest districts in this area haven't started school. We got Small dishes of ice cream (mind you, that's still two large scoops), and people-watched, and queued up for golf. Spent far too long idling away waiting for each hole, and nearly made
