Saturday: Piles of stuff

Spent Saturday with tpau doing an inventory of all of the baronial Stuff that's stored in her basement. There's stuff down there that nobody knows about (or perhaps, remembers), like the footed brass bowls for buffet tables that new_man bought - and which I would have used in Nov. for K&Q Fencing -- and a pair of marshals' staffs, and even trash cans. However, there are no longer any open packages of food. Our cooks have to learn that it's not worth turning those in at the end of an event - they'll sit in C's basement for two years, then get thrown out; the cook may as well keep them and use them for her own meals (breadcrumbs, sugar, vinegar, etc.).

I do wish we knew what has become of the Coke Machine covers. Or the dozen white aprons. We need assembly instructions for the various wooden thingies (benches? shield trees? list poles?). Must prod T on that subject.

Between me, tpau, and learnedax we spent almost 18 person-hours on the task on Saturday, and now tpau gets to organize our counting notes and the photos into something coherent.
