Much work accomplished lately.
jducoeur and I made the Baked Chicken and Grapes for the dinner board at King Lear this weekend. Took us two full evenings of cutting up, breading, sauteing, and baking to make all the chicken. Then another 2 hours or so to make the grape sauce on Saturday morning. Still, a gratifying success; many compliments.
More housework accomplished: Darned moth-hole in light blue sweater, cleaned off floor in front of dresser, ironed 7 shirts, serious tidying in the living room, found my errant regalia case for Eastern Star (thank God, since the jewel is solid gold!), paid Visa bills, bought new buttons for Justin's black doublet.
I want to make a centralized spot where I will put all the books I've bought that I haven't had time to read yet. Then when I want something to read, I'll go there instead of wandering from room to room and ending up re-reading bits of stuff I've read so often I can recite it. Current candidate for this shelf (shelves) is the bookcase in the guest room nearest the door. This means finding a new spot for the things that are shelved there now, which means boxing up some other stuff that's lower priority/use. More cascading chores :)
