As I said, above, to jdulac, I ended up with a "Mr. Lincoln" even knowing it's a hybrid tea and may not survive my neglect, and a "Rabelais", another red one that caught my fancy.
I seem to be corrupting the white-blue-purple garden theme I inherited when we bought this house :)
